Blantyre/ Lilongwe – Cape Town flights

There are currently no direct, non-stop flights between Lilongwe or Blantyre and Cape Town. The most efficient way to travel this route is with one stop, typically in Johannesburg, Nairobi or Addis Ababa. Flight durations for these one-stop routes generally range from 7 to 10 hours, depending on the length of the layover.

The Malawi national carrier (Malawi Airlines) doesn’t operate any flights to Cape Town. Its does have a daily service to Johannesburg from Lilongwe via Blantyre. For onward connection to cape town you need to book a separate ticket with a different airline.
